Do I need to have done yoga before coming to a workshop or retreat?
No. You do not need to be of any prescribed level to join our workshops or retreats. We encourage you to work to your limits and listen to your body, so it should be challenging but not impossible for everyone, regardless of level.
Do I need to bring my own mat with me?
No, for both our workshops and retreats we will provide all the equipment so there is no need to bring your own. You are, of course, welcome to do so if you prefer.
I’m not really flexible, can I still come?
Flexibility is a result of doing yoga, but it is certainly not required in order to start. In fact, if we were completely flexible, parts of yoga would become redundant. Some people are naturally more or less flexible and the key is to work to your level.
What if I’m a single traveller?
That’s great! All our prices are based on shared occupancy and we will match you up with someone similar based on your preferences. However, if you would prefer to have your own room, a single occupancy supplement is available. Depending on the hotels, this is sometimes limited to a certain number of places.
Can I bring my friend/partner with me on a retreat?
Of course! It wouldn’t be a holiday without them. The prices are the same, but if you were to share a room it would be cheaper per person than taking single occupancy. Classes are voluntary so they are more than welcome to join us, or make their own plans.
Do I have to come to every class on a retreat?
No. We would love you to join us for each of the classes but this is your holiday and you must do what you feel like doing! So, you are free to make your own plans if you would prefer to fit in extra sightseeing or just simply take the time to relax by the pool.
Can I book private sessions on my retreat?
Yes. All of our teachers will happily spend time helping you one-to-one. You can contact us in advance to book extra sessions, or speak to the teacher once you are in your destination.
Are there meal options for vegetarians/vegans/gluten-free/allergies/etc.?
Yes. All of our locations will cater for your dietary requirements. Please let us know in advance of any issues you may have and we will make sure the chefs know. In the case of allergies, we do expect you to travel with any necessary medication and let us know in advance so that we can ensure that your stay is peaceful and safe.
Can children come on retreats?
We completely understand that you may have young children who you can’t leave at home. Or maybe you have a child who enjoys yoga and would like to try it out? Classes are aimed at adults and may be appropriate for older teenagers, however will probably not suit younger children. We are happy to work with you to find a solution for your children during the retreat, however please note that we do not organise babysitters or child specific activities on our retreats. Each of our hotels will be able to offer you solutions for childcare that you can organise separately. Please get in touch with us for information about bringing your child.
Are flights included?
We do not include flights to our destinations as we want guests to have the freedom of elongating their holiday if they wish, or visiting somewhere else on the way home. Additionally, we do not want to prescribe a specific departure airport, but rather let you choose your closest and most convenient one. If you are having any issues with finding flights, please give us a ring and we will try and help.
